Bonhoeffer on Abortion.

I read this article today on a 23 year old model who wants to have an abortion because it is holding her back from being famous. Have we devalued life so much that now we are willing to kill a innocent life for fame? This woman and anyone else hates life the life growing inside of them and their for hates God for he is the one who created it because this woman wants a care free life. I am not making this up click on this for the proof. This is what the pro choice movement is protecting the right to murder in cold blood. Dietrich Bonhoeffer put it best but even him could not see it getting this bad. Wake up America come back to the Lord.

"Destruction of the embryo in the mother’s womb is a violation of the right to live which God has bestowed upon this nascent life. To raise the question whether we are here concerned already with a human being or not is merely to confuse the issue. The simple fact is that God certainly intended to create a human being and that this nascent human being has been deliberately deprived of his life. And this is nothing but murder.

A great many different motives may lead to an action of this kind; indeed in cases where it is an act of despair, performed in circumstances of extreme human or economic destitution and misery, the guilt may often lie rather with the community than with the individual. Precisely in this connection money may conceal many a wanton deed, while the poor man’s more reluctant lapse may far more easily be disclosed.

All these considerations must no doubt have a quite decisive influence on our personal and pastoral attitude towards the person concerned, but they cannot in any way alter the fact of murder."

Jesus and Socialism do not mix.

I been hearing lately that people claim Jesus is a socialist or a Marxist. Contrary to evidence. the site the story of the rich young ruler as proof of this. While they ingore what he and his followers say about giving to the poor so lets break this down and prove that Jesus not only would not side with these ideas but these two groups something that should be avoided and before anyone ask no I am not saying he is a capitalist ether for his message very little to do with money but Salvation.

Mark 10:17-25 is what they cite as proof they believe that because he told this young ruler to sell everything to follow him and even double down by claiming Jesus hates rich people because he says that it is harder for a rich man to get to Heaven than a camel going through an eye of a needle but what they always leave out is what happen afterwards and what he said to his own followers after he said this. Mark 10: 25-30 States clearly what he was really talking about. Put into context with the rest not only was this young ruler sin was not because he was rich but it had nothing to do with his wealth but his soul. As Dietrich Bonhoeffer put it.

"If, as we read our Bibles, we heard Jesus speaking to us in this way to-day we should probably try to argue ourselves out of it like this: “It is true that the demand of Jesus is definite enough, but I have to remember that he never expects us to take his commands legalistically. What he really wants me to have is faith. But my faith is not necessarily tied up with riches or poverty or anything of the kind. We may be both poor and rich in the spirit. It is not important that I should have no possessions, but if I do I must keep them as though I had them not, in other words I must cultivate a spirit of inward detachment, so that my heart is not in my possessions.” Jesus may have said: “Sell thy goods,” but he meant: “Do not let it be a matter of consequence to you that you have outward prosperity; rather keep your goods quietly, having them as if you had them not. Let not your heart be in your goods.”—We are excusing ourselves from single-minded obedience to the word of Jesus on the pretext of legalism and a supposed preference for an obedience “in faith.” The difference between ourselves and the rich young man is that he was not allowed to solace his regrets by saying: “Never mind what Jesus says, I can still hold on to my riches, but in a spirit of inner detachment. Despite my inadequacy I can take comfort in the thought that God has forgiven me my sins and can have fellowship with Christ in faith.” But no, he went away sorrowful. Because he would not obey, he could not believe. In this the young man was quite honest. He went away from Jesus and indeed this honesty had more promise than any apparent communion with Jesus based on disobedience."   Bonhoeffer Cost of Discipleship.



 

God is with us in trails

Now in this video I think it speaks through how God will protect us in troubling times or the times we fail. First the dragon represents not only the darkness of the world but darkness that is found in all of us and the snakes the little girl was surrounded by was the slavery of fear and to sin itself. The girl is our souls who wants to fight against the evils of the world but is held down by her own sin and her own fear. The lion is God who wants to help us break free if fear and our own chains that many times we put on ourselves. Without God we cannot stand up to the dragons of the world and without him by our sides we do not stand a chance of winning so the choice is clear. We need him by us and when we let him in our hearts we have an ally when it comes to our own fears and temptations. I am sure that their are other ways to look at it but that is what I see when I watch this.                                                                                                                     

Tower of Babel One Race Human

There are a lot of racist groups out there whether the KKK or the Black Panthers. Claiming that their race is better. That the other races are not clean but what does God say about race? He teaches that all races whether Jew Black white Native American Asian or Arabs all descendants of Adam and Eve meaning one race of humans called the Human Race. Genesis 1.

I know that their are many skin colors many different people nowadays. What happen the building of the Tower of Babel happen. Genesis 11:1-9 God scardered man after man thought they could reach Heaven themselves. God took them all over the earth and over the years different genetics and I am sure with God's help we see the many different people of the day. The world view is that we are different and their for we should not mix when it is the opposite of the Lords view. He just suppurated us because we where getting way to high on our own ego and their for needed to be teached a lesson also we were not following the commands that was handed down to Moses multiplying and spreading threw the Earth.

 Now these two groups would have you believe that we have nothing in common with our fellow man. When in fact their is very little difference (note do not believe in Darwinian Evolution). Jesus wants his followers to believe that with all the heart soul and mind or you are just following a false god and not the father as Paul put it so well. Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Time to get out of the boat.

Matthew 14:22-33

22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

29 “Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

I believe this story is not only about Jesus' power but what is called of us when we follow him. We must get out of the boat like Peter but unlike Peter we must not take our eyes off the Lord. The boat offers security from the storms outside of it hitting the haul but it is a false security for a boat could not possibly hold up. Jesus is calling us out unto the water to join him in his work but when we take our eyes off of him and his word we fail and sink.

I guess what I am saying we need to be different when the world calls for blood we call for peace. When the world says God is dead we say no he is alive. When we see the unsaved we must reach out to them with all the love in our hearts because in the end that is what will save us and this country not hate not guns not a revolution but love. 

Never forget you is the Lord for if you take your eyes off of him you will be swayed to one of these factions that claim to be followers but really following their own idol their own god that they but a Jesus mask on. The second you forget the Lord we serve is the second we stop following him. So reachout to other get out of the boat show the love of Christ to others tell them the good news. Get your hand dirty by helping out the least of us and never put anyone anything above him.

Warriors of Peace.

There has been a lot of talk about Revolution in the past few weeks. All set off by this Nevada Cattle Rancher stand off. I did not want to make this site about politics but I see an danger in this for bloodshed. Jesus calls us to be Warriors not of Revolution but of peace which is a Revolution in a broken world that we happen to live in. Violence is never the answer to these things. In fact we should be asking ourselves what would our Lord do if he were in our shoes the answer is in the Bible.

Jesus faced a similar problem in his time. With a corrupt government after him for preaching the truth and knowing it would end in his death did he once ever said to take up arms and overthrow the government. No he never did and be glad of that because if he did than none of us would be going to Heaven. In Luke 22:36-37 Jesus started talking about buying swords and preparing for a fight but he was not talking about a physical battle in fact he gets upset with his followers when they said they had two swords. Luke 22:38 He was not talking about a actual sword but the sword Paul talks about in Ephesians 6:17 He is talking about the word of God his word. Not weapons of a physical war but the spiritual war of the heart mind and Spirit.  Even when he was taken away by a corrupt government he still did not fight and even got angry at his Disciples for putting up a fight with his enemy. Luke 22:47-53.

We need not worry about what our enemies are doing for Christ will provide us a way out or take us to Heaven because we are important to him so be a Warrior of truth and peace not a Warrior of wrath. Mathew 6:25-34

Where Mercy Lies.

I was on YouTube today and I saw I had a message from someone by the name of Madalyn Bertrand who said she is a Christian songwriter and was wondering if I would listen to her work. Well I have and let me tell you this is one of the very few songs that tugged at my heart. I hope all of you guys enjoy her work as much as I have.

Turn

I watched the show Turn last Sunday on AMC. It is based on the Culper Spy Ring which Washington founded in order to find information on British plans and movements in the Revolutionary War.  I found the show very interesting and true to the story. It is on tonight at 9 everyone should check it out.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer on the American and French Revolution.

I am reading one of my hero books Ethics. Great read if you ever get the chance to read it along with his other books. His books gets you to think about the world the Holy Bible with new eyes. I ran onto a comparison he made between the French Revolution and the American Revolution and I think it is dead on to the reality.

"The American Revolution was almost contemporaneous with the French one, and politically the two were not unconnected; yet they were profoundly different in character. The American democracy is not founded upon the emancipated man bit. quite the contrary, upon the kingdom of God and the limitation of earthly powers by the sovereignty of God. It is indeed significant when, in contrast to the Declaration of the Rights of Man, American historians can say that the federal constitution was written by men who were conscious of original sin and of the wickedness of the human heart. Earthly wielders of power, and also the people, are directed into their proper bounds, in due consideration of man's innate longing for power and...that Power pertains only to God." Dietrich Bonhoeffer Ethics

We have four political movements. One where people think government knows best. That it can even replace God. You got the center people who wants some freedom and you got another movement that sees things like above. Then you just got one that just goes with the flow.

One is in the wrong. No matter what their intentions are man and woman cannot not rule fairly over other men and women. That is why every time you see Marxist countries fail because they do not let lose freedom to anything. Also most Marxist countries would turn on the church of God. No matter if it is Christians or Jews we become the hunted for we followers of God are the enemy of the State because we provide the idea of freedom from fear of bad times. They hate the idea of Jesus because he frees men.

The middle ground is safe for a time until the total government people which is a sickness on both sides decides to take even them out for they will not choose a side and have their side chosen for them and the people who do not choose to stand for either will some time have to choose.

The last understands that man cannot fairly rule and therefore  government needs to be small and not intrusive to people just trying to live their lives. Think only God can rule fairly and justly. Government should not take the place of God. Their only job is to carry the sword and keep the peace in the land. That is what this passage says to me what do you guys think?

20 LB sledge.

I have to say 20 LB Sledge is the best rock I have heard in a long time. Made founded Conservative Alfonzo Rachel of Zo Nation he is taking hard rock and Conservative Christian values and making it into up beat music that you know will not have a bad message behind it. In fact I say the message behind this album is a message God loves and we should to while sticking up for what is right even tho the worldly view says it is wrong. Is the Bible really written by one guy?

I ran into this argument all the time from atheist all of the time. The Bible has nothing to do with history. It was made up by some guy who lived 100 years after Jesus died. Now is this true? No for one what would be the motivation behind that. Not only has the Old Testament has been written over a thousands years by different. Even using measurements of money that was not used in the time period they claim it was written but Judaism. The last book of the Old testament The book of Malachi was written in 440 B.C. That would be about 473 years before Jesus' birth.

Now another argument I heard the New Testament was made up written by one guy. If this was the case why does not the four Gospels match up 100%. See the reason behind that is that their where four different views from four different people and where they where at the time. So the case of this being written by the same guy falls apart because if that where true they would match up backing the others claims but since they where four different people that have different experiences remembering things a little different or seeing things the other guys did not witness. In fact Luke was not even one of Jesus' 12  disciples. He was a doctor that can around after the fact to get eyewitness accounts not only from his followers but the people who where their as he states in Luke 1:1-4 Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. 3 With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,  so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

My Mission.

My mission is to bring the truth about God and to fight against the propaganda that is put out their by people who try to coop God or tries to claim he is not real and the Bible cannot be trusted. I want to point out each of these things and disprove many of these arguments that people make so good people can say wait a minute God never said that or wait a minute what about these facts. I may get into politics some but this is not what this is about. So I am going to try post once a week and hope people find this helpful.
